These delicious and easy-to-make grilled salmon patties have a garlicky lemon dill sauce. Packed with protein and Omega 3s. You will not believe that all this goodness came from a can. The garlic, lemon juice, green onions, and fresh dill add so much flavor to this salmon burger.
Stir well to break up into pieces. No need to remove any small bones or skin. (see note)
Add lemon juice, Dijon mustard, green onions, panko, and eggs, and stir well until combined.
Form the mixture into 4 large or 5 medium patties using your hands.
Add one tablespoon of olive oil to a large skillet and cook on medium heat until golden brown on both sides or cook on grill using a grilling plate that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
Whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl.
Serve salmon burger on a toasted bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, sliced pickles, and prepared Lemon Dill Sauce. (Can substitute tartar sauce)
Notes
* The skin and tiny cell bones are completely edible and an excellent source of calcium and Omega 3 fatty acids simply blend the skin and bones with the salmon and other ingredients. Surprisingly, they are not at all noticeable once you have cooked the patties.* Be careful not to flip over the patties before they have browned well on each side, the patties tend to fall apart if turned over too soon.* If using a grill, use a grilling plate that has been sprayed with cooking spray or lightly coated with olive oil to ensure that the patties don't fall apart when turning.
