Grilled Salmon Burgers with Creamy Lemon Dill Sauce
Fuel Your Body, Delight Your Taste Buds: My Go-To Healthy & High-Protein Grilled Salmon Burgers (Packed with Omega-3s!)
Hey everyone! Are you on the hunt for a meal that’s not only incredibly delicious and easy to prepare but also seriously good for you? Well, you’ve landed in the right place!
I have made these salmon burgers countless times. We love them and I still can’t believe that so much amazing flavor can come from a can. The secret ingredients? Fresh lemon juice, green onions and Old Bay Seasoning. They are a big winner for me because I am always looking for meals that are easy to prepare, healthy, and still super delicious.
I’ve been all about finding ways to incorporate more lean protein and omega-3 fatty acids into our family’s diet. That’s where these incredible grilled salmon burgers come in. They’re a total game-changer – satisfying, flavorful, and packed with goodness!

This easy grilled salmon burger recipe is a powerhouse of protein.
Both salmon and eggs are a fantastic source of high-quality protein, essential for building and repairing tissues.
Omega 3 fatty acids are known for their incredible benefits, from supporting heart health and brain function to reducing inflammation. So, with every bite of these burgers, you’re not just enjoying a delicious meal, you’re nourishing your body from the inside out.
My deliciously healthy and high-protein grilled salmon burgers:
This recipe makes about 4-5 burgers.
What you’ll need:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 (15-ounce) can of pink salmon, drained
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.
- 1 ½ tablespoons of Dijon-style mustard
- ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
- ½ cup sliced green onions
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
Instructions:
Combine:  Empty the can of pink salmon into a medium bowl after draining the liquid. Now, gently break it up with a fork. And here’s a little secret for an extra boost of calcium and omega-3s: those tiny, soft bones are completely edible! Just mash them in with the salmon. Seriously, you won’t even notice them after cooking.
Squeeze: In fresh lemon juice, add Dijon mustard, sliced green onions, panko bread crumbs, and both eggs. Sprinkle in the Old Bay Seasoning. This blend adds a wonderful savory flavor that complements the salmon beautifully. Give everything a good stir until it’s all well combined.
Form:Â Now, get your hands involved. Gently form the mixture into 4-5 patties depending on what size patties you desire.
Grill Outdoors or cook on a stovetop in a large skillet:
- Add olive oil and preheat your stove to medium heat or grill outdoors on a grilling pan that has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray or brushed with a little olive oil. Don’t use high heat and don’t attempt to cook them on an outdoor grill without a grilling pan, they will fall apart and end up in your coals.
- Carefully place your salmon patties on a hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they’re nicely browned and cooked through. Resist the urge to flip them too early – you want them to develop a good sear so they hold together.
Serve:
Serve these grilled salmon burgers on toasted buns. Load them up with fresh toppings: Lemon Dill Sauce, (recipe below) crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, and pickles.
*You can use tartar sauce in place of the Lemon Dill Sauce if you are in a hurry.
Lemon Dill Sauce:
- ½ cup light mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill (or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed)
- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
Simply whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl. This light and flavorful sauce perfectly complement the richness of the salmon.
So, there you have it! My recipe for incredibly delicious and healthy grilled salmon burgers. They’re packed with protein, loaded with those amazing omega-3s, and cooked to perfection for a guilt-free and satisfying meal. Ditch the ordinary and embrace this flavorful, nutritious burger alternative.
Go ahead, fire up that grill, and give these a try. I can’t wait to hear what you think! Enjoy your healthy and delicious meal! If you would like to try more of my seafood recipes check out my Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta or my sweet and sour Shrimp and Smoked Pineapple Skillet.
